The One Who Follows is a dark, atmospheric Metroidvania shaped by movement and a descent to darker places.

You awaken in ALTERIA— a broken realm formed from what was left unspoken. This world is not ruled by monsters or gods, but by absence. Its halls are hollow, its architecture fractured, its silence pressing in from all sides. Each step downward draws you further from the surface.

Progress is not earned through strength, but through confrontation. Ancient figures dwell in the depths, vast and distorted, bound to the world as if grown from it. They do not guard treasure. They embody something that was never faced.

With each encounter, the world opens in unfamiliar ways. Paths once unreachable begin to yield. Movement changes. Space bends. What was impossible becomes traversable — not because you dominate the world, but because you begin to understand it.

ALTERIA reshapes itself as you move through it. Vast chasms, crumbling halls, and shifting shadows demand patience and precision. Combat is tense but restrained, while exploration carries the weight of quiet discovery. The story unfolds without explanation, told through ruins, silhouettes, and the spaces between.
